3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing! Pours a deep dark brown with a small off-white head that fades. Aroma of malt, wood, brown sugar, and baked goods. Taste is sharp and burnt, of toasted malt, wood, dark chocolate, and brown sugar. Lingering burnt flavors. Decent.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle thanks to matt7215 via trade. Thanks Matt! Pours black with a tan head that laces well. Aroma is really funky. Musty dank basement, mildew, mold and a hint of sour old chocolate. This beer smells nasty. Tastes like chocolate, berries, roasted malt, and a little sourness. Palate is thin and watery. Not really digging this one. Couldnít really get past the dank aroma. I did up my rating as it warmed... But still didnít really like it that much.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Thanks to hobbersr for sharing. Pours a very dark brown with a brick red/orange hue. Little head, ropey lacing. Nose is soya sauce, funk, almost a brett-like sourness, but less appealing. Pickles, fruit, chocolate, not really appealing in any particular way. Palate is dark, musty, dank, with more sourness, roast malt. Gets roastier and less sour as it warms, still not appealing, and I LOVE sour ales. Tastes better than it smells, but I still donít like this.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask. Very high alcohol content that doesnít show through in the taste despite being a fairly run of the mill imperial stout. Again, hard for these types of beers to be bad. It was definitely very nice! But the body was lacking.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Wow this is local !???!
Dark brown with beige head that lasts. Rich malty aroma with coffee toffee notes. Flavour is thick and sweetly rich. Creamy palate and the body has a decent thickness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Matt7215. Pours an expected dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, spices, smoke, and coffee. Flavor matches well, but has a certain taste that I have been getting from all of these Grand Rivers. Pretty decent brew and very drinktable, especially as it warms up from fridge temp.

[2073-20090403] Cask. Roasted malt and mild creamy wood aroma. Dark brown black body with no head. Smoky roasted malt flavour has a long woody finish. Full body. Good.

200th Imperial Stout rating. Bonus from Ughmash, thanks Jason. Shared with dalekliz and my girlfriend. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet malty and all in all pretty good. Not a bad impy in any way.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Volo, Appearance: Black with a lasting brown head which I thought was unusual for cask. Aroma: Slight smoke, malt and pine. Flavour: Again malt and pine, nicely hoppy, coffee, bitter chocolate, weak mouthfeel but with a long malty finish. Nice

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Cíest What - came a very, very dark brown, nay, black, with a thin espresso creme head. Aroma oddly faint, but some black licorice/anise, espresso, and some alcohol present. Flavour bursts forth, with the aforementioned and more - thick malt backbone, green hop, viscous black licorice, cold coffee, booze, and some stony earth. A rough, raw, beautiful imperial stout.
