[5579-20130714] Cask. Plasticky grains aroma. Murky, light brown body with a quick foamy white head. Tangerine yeast flavour. Medium body. Average. (Apparently the cask blew all over when it was tapped.) (6/3/6+/3/12) 3.0
(Summer Beer Festival @ The Rhino, Toronto, ON)

500 ml bottle, at the Laughing Buddha, in Sudbury. Pours a slightly hazy colour with medium white head. Aroma is malts, fruits. Taste is malts, some citrus, spices. Pretty decent Belgian style brew.

Bottle at Nick & Nat’s Uptown 21. Yellow and clear, white head. Belgian yeast aroma and taste, with a little bit of a bitter kick at the end. Not bad, and nice to see Grand River branching out to Belgian styles.

Pours slightly hazy, bright gold with a fine white head. Aroma of pils malt, lemon, fruity esters. Taste is light sweetness, slightly tart, with lemon and light malt, and a hint of bitterness in the finish. Slightly astringent finish as well, medium body. Nice Belgian-style beer.

500ml bottle from the brewery. deep golden with a small white head. fruity estery nose. slightly fruity flavour, a touch sweeter then id like for the style, also just a touch too bitter. ok but grand river has done much better beers then this.

On tap @ Wellington Gastropub Ottawa. Pours a clear dark gold with a small white head. Aromas are bananas, bubblegum, Tastes are subtle banana and clove like a German wheat beer but also brings a little rye-like grain, hoppy bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Medium body, plenty of carbonation, and a medium dry astringent finish. Interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Cask at ’The Rhino Summer Beer Festival 2013’. Doesn’t look very nice. Pours a murky pale yellow with no head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, banana and sugar. yeasty flavour with a herbal finish. Average bodied. Drinkable but it’s a mess -- IPA? Methinks the cask was not ready to be served.

Pale orange pour with a thin white head. The aroma is softly hoppy with a light touch of fruitiness. There is a little bit of spiciness in here but the yeast is pretty restrained. Moderate bitterness on the finish with a bit of light fruit as well. Nice stuff really.

Pours cloudy orange. Aroma of yeast, hops and mash malt. Watery texture. Slightly sour finish. Low carbonation. Tap at the Rhino.

2013-07-14. Murky pastel orange body with a tiny white head. 3+ Aroma is odd, quite yeasty, some green hops and fruit character. Flavour is relatively bitter, dry alcohol, yeasty character. Nice citrus comes out as you go forward though. Smooth average plus bodied palate, modest to light carbonation. Pretty decent but overly yeasty. The cask was clearly not in great shape but it shows a lot of potential. Would try it again. On tap at Rhino Summer Beer Festival, Toronto
