3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. Poured clear gold with a thin white top. Sweet bready malt aroma. Light-medium body, crisp carbonation with a creamy finish. Flavour is grainy hay-ish, pale malts with a faint citrus note. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours cloudy light yellow with a frothy and creamy abnormal white head, good retention and lacing. bretty mustiness, metal, pale crisp cereals, grass, citrus - lemon mostly, ginger, flowers, very peppery too. lively and disturbing carbonation, light body - watery, dry, and astringent woodsy-grassy-peppery finish. another example where mr. brett turns something nice out of something bland.

50 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Bright gold with a musty lime aroma. Cereal grain and honey flavour, then a hit of lemon hops.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pilsner??? This is a very pale colored, lightly-filtered lager with foamy head, aroma hint sulfur, cereal grains. Taste sweet and bready cereal, honey, hint apple, lemon, some vague hop bittering. Palate is unpleasantly soapy and parching, overall this thing is worty and a touch sour. Drink ICE COLD if at all. Bottle was not worth $3.50, LMAO. Tailgate is possibly a brilliant brewery’s attempt to look stupid, and Grand River almost succeeds.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle shared with Smitty. Light gold, white head that settles to a film. Aroma is a bit odd: cooked noodles, corn tortillas (this is a first for me). Palate is grainy cereals, a touch of bittering hops. Not great.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014-08-01. Lightly hazy yellow body with small white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly fruity, sweet lemon. Flavour is mild, sweet wheat and muted lemon notes. Average to light bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Enjoyable, pretty mild, but just okay overall. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear light amber colour with lots of white head that dissipates very quickly. I got aromas of yeast, flower and some malt. The flavours were malt, yeast, biscuit, salt, and a hint of hops along with some floral notes. This one has a lot of carbonation on the palette and has a distinctive lemon taste. The main flavours are malt, yeast and biscuit but that lemon taste also comes through pretty clear. This is a decent pilsner but nothing outstanding.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle. Light golden colour with some haziness. Thin white head that disappeared quickly. Sweet bread aroma, maybe spruce. Smooth body, somewhat sweet, with very little bitterness. I was expecting something more distinct, but at least it was refreshing.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Poured a clear light yellow color lager with a medium size white head with light retention. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with light sweet undertones is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by grainy cereal notes with some light sweet notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. No apparent adjunct but malt bill is less than stellar.
