Had this tonight at Bittercreek’s GT 25th Anniversary Party.... Nice 1 finger head atop a fairly clear darker golden brew... decent lacing. Nose has a huge barrel presence... big vinous red wine notes... a bit clovey and a background bready element... no doubt wine barrel aged, but the "Saison elements" seem a bit muddy. The taste delivers.... well done.. clove/light coriander and something that I definitely associate with red wine .... sorta tannic with warmth... Digging how the barrel presence plays with the already bigger than normal Saison elements... well integrated. Light/medium body with a lighter than expected carbonation.

Pour on tap at Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest, listed as 2011, hazy golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought spice, yeast, bread into a bit of white fruit, some oaky tones into a bit of grain, some wine notes as well. Taste was a mix of white fruit, grain, biscuit into some oaky, tannic notes with a touch of honey, some slight spicy yeast notes, finishing slightly dry.

Sampled at FoBAB 10 - 2012 (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich well hazed golden hue, good haziness, gentle glow. Frothy whitish head sits atop, laces ok. Aromas are gentle farmhouse and dough, gentle spice, earthy hops, kiss of citrus, some gentle red wine and oak, gentle tannic quality is fleeting. Some spice, farmhouse, and dryness.
