Bitch Creek perfectly balances big malt sweetness and robust hop flavor for a full bodied, satisfying mahogany ale. Like the stream for which it is named, our Bitch Creek ESB is full of character... Not for the timid.

Bottle poured a murky orange-brown w/ an enormous frothy off-white head slowly diminishing w/ good lacing. Medium aromas of lightly roasted malts and sweet caramel. Initial flavor is light sweet and finish is a light bitter and light acetic. Tastes are almonds, caramel, straw, and toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily texture, and light astringent.

Nice 1" lite tan head... chunky.. drops quickly leaving nice lacing... brown body until its held up to the light.. dark cherry juice red... Definately dark for the style, but very pretty nonetheless. Aroma is toasted malts and piney hops.. brown malts are in the middle.. clean without a whole bunch of yeasty fruitiness... nose falls slightly short but is vastly different than most ESBís. Flavor is nothing like an ESB... American Brown through and through... caramel and toasted biscuits.. more brown malts with grassy American hops. Big medium body.. and light carbonation... very lite diacetyl (and I hate butterscotch) mixes very nicely with the brown malts... Given the style, I would not even put this in the top 20 of ESBís Iíve enjoyed, but again, this is no ESB. Much more akin to a West Coast take on an English Brown.

Had it on draft at Ballard Station. Crisp bitterness, roasted coffee, sprinkle of cocoa but back to crispness. Actually works as an ESB/Brown hybrid

Pours a rich brown from a bottle. Aroma right of the bat is medium-roast coffee. Flavor is similar, somewhat watery, with good bitterness there as well. Okay beer.

Had this on draft. Wasnít sure what to expect from an "Extra Special Brown" but I really liked this. Excellent malt profile, hop aroma was minimal and had a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Definitely something I cold drink pints and pints of.

12 oz bottle pours dark brown with a tan foam head. Great aroma of floral hops with some roasted malt. Taste is coffee and pine. A little hoppy for a brown ale but not a bad mash up of styles.

APPEARANCE - medium brown carmely color. NOSE - resinous hop scents. Could pass for a pale ale or many IPAs on the market. FLAVOR - Starts outlasting like a hoppy brown, then quickly starts to taste like a pale ale, while continuing to look like a brown ale.

Bottle. Deep amber/brown body with a frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, roast, cherry, dough, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of caramel, sweet bready malts, citrus.

Bitch creek is a medium red brown beer with a tan head of small bubbles. The aroma is a bit musty and earthy malt. Taste is initially sweet that turns into a roasted nutty malt which is mildly bitter in the finish. The body is smooth.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Pours brown with a patchy head and thick lacing. Definitely a brown ale. Extra Special Brown?? Must be. Has a pretty good roasted toasty bready flavor throughout. A bit of a dry nutty finish. Good malt forward medium body. Pretty good stuff.
