Bitch Creek perfectly balances big malt sweetness and robust hop flavor for a full bodied, satisfying mahogany ale. Like the stream for which it is named, our Bitch Creek ESB is full of character... Not for the timid.

This beer has a special place in my heart. Bottle conditioned. Brown color. 3/4 inch head. Malty. Slightly sweet. Reminds me of backcountry camping in the tetons. Beer tastes even better when you have to hike 8 miles to your campsite.

Had this on draft. Wasn’t sure what to expect from an "Extra Special Brown" but I really liked this. Excellent malt profile, hop aroma was minimal and had a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Definitely something I cold drink pints and pints of.

12 oz bottle pours dark brown with a tan foam head. Great aroma of floral hops with some roasted malt. Taste is coffee and pine. A little hoppy for a brown ale but not a bad mash up of styles.

APPEARANCE - medium brown carmely color. NOSE - resinous hop scents. Could pass for a pale ale or many IPAs on the market. FLAVOR - Starts outlasting like a hoppy brown, then quickly starts to taste like a pale ale, while continuing to look like a brown ale.

Bottle. Deep amber/brown body with a frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, roast, cherry, dough, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of caramel, sweet bready malts, citrus.

Bitch creek is a medium red brown beer with a tan head of small bubbles. The aroma is a bit musty and earthy malt. Taste is initially sweet that turns into a roasted nutty malt which is mildly bitter in the finish. The body is smooth.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Pours brown with a patchy head and thick lacing. Definitely a brown ale. Extra Special Brown?? Must be. Has a pretty good roasted toasty bready flavor throughout. A bit of a dry nutty finish. Good malt forward medium body. Pretty good stuff.

Draft at SB. Pours a hazy dark brown with bright amber edges and a dense and creamy tan head. Big forward malty toasty molasses-y nose, lots of residuals in there. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty, bread crusty, malty, brown-sugar-y mid palate. Long, slightly earthy sweet finish. Couldn’t figure out why this was so dark...turns out it’s a brown. For once I’ll side with the internet against the brewery about what their beer is.

A 12oz bottle that was bottled on 22 January 2015 and poured into a pint glass. It poured a dark brownish red colour with a slightly less than one finger creamy brown head that dissipates in less than a minute leaving stringy lacing. Aromas of sweet toasted bready malts, caramel and some dark fruits mainly plum and grape. Tasted mainly of sweet caramel mixed with some citrus hoppy flavours and a small amount of dark fruits. The aftertaste also gives a small blast of alcohol. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Overall, it was quite a nice brown ale. Maybe a tad bit sweet, but I would probably consider buying this again if I craved for some brown ale. Having said that, this is quite honestly probably the only bottle that’s made it to Hong Kong.

Bottle, brought back by a friend. Pours a rather clear, brownish beer with a big off white head on top. Aroma is very nutty, earthy and has a decent amount of caramel in there. Flavor is sweet, also some bitter citric touches, loads of earthy dry notes and cookies. Fairly interesting and a bit strange, but still quite ok. Decent.
