COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Double Vision Doppelbock is brewed with Idaho 2 row pale and German Munich, Caraaroma, Caramunich, and de-husked Carafa malts to an original gravity of 24 Plato. The malts provide a dark leather color with ruby notes, a luxurious tan head, and a bready aroma with a hint of smoke and fermented with lager yeast from a monastery brewery near Munich.

Tap @ Bittercreek Boise: Pours a dark mahogany color with light head. The nose is so malty and smooth; pounds of plum and almond notes with more melanoidins and caramelized goodness than you can shake a candy cane at. The bourbon comes through as well to help deliver this massive amount of poly-saccharides to your palate in a pleasing manner. Giant body and lots of bourbon and vanilla notes to complement the already delicious doppelbock. Very well done.

This beer was excellent. I wasn’t a big fan of the regular bottled version of the Double Vision, with its big soy sauce taste. But this has a big bourbon taste, and the the thick creamy texture overrides all, The heat from the alcohol was present but not overwhelming. Very drinkable very delicious!

From tap at Monks Kettle. Pours dark brown with a small, dense, creamy and tan head, Nice minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark malty and mild bourbon like. Dark roasted malt flavoured with a distinct chocolate note and vanilla flavours. Mild bourbon note into a dry malty finish.

On nitro at the brewery! Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized soapy tan head. Aroma is bread, smoke, caramel. Flavor is again bread, prune, caramel, light bourbon. Palate is medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, finished on the sweet side. Another great example of barrel aging, nice stuff indeed!!
