4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 mL bottle of the 2011 edition poured into a tulip glass. The appearance is a hazy gold with a nice two-finger fluffy white head and excellent lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, black pepper, and spices. The taste is great. Flavors of Belgian yeast and clove with a nice tart finish. The high ABV is not noticeable at all. Excellent Belgian style ale.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
fond as i am of the tripel style i took a liking to this even if it was marketed as a generic belgian golden ale on the label. i especially like the tripels that are opaque rather than clear and this one delivered.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A smooth-tight-frothy white head of medium stature floats on a clear sunny straw body showcasing several medium paced streamers, medium sized patches of lace all around
Bright lemon and clove combine to create a bold illuminated earthy character supported by a tawny sweet layer of apple and candied sugar, soft white pepper on a nondescript medium body with lovely tight carbonation followed by a sweet earthy bready residual with enunciated clove accents

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
25.4 ounce bottle. Pours a nice golden color with a two inch pillowy white head that lasts. Tons of carbonation. A rather nice beer to look at. Taste is of yeast, malt, straw, fruit, peaches, wood and spice. Lots of layers of flavor that are reveled with each sip. Similar aroma. Has a very nice body. Wet, with a warming and slight dry finish. Very east to drink and quite enjoyable. Reminds me of Leffe Blonde, but better. There are several bottles in town Iíll have to pick up and save. Very good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Glad I finally got around to this one. Picked it up a year ago not knowing how appropriate it would be upon our return to Cincy after a 90-day road trip today. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head that dissipates into a small ring. Aroma of sweet malts, mild spice, pears, candi sugar, and mild banana. Flavor of sweet malts, pears, mellow spices, apricots, candi sugar, dried banana, and clove. Medium-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not an overly sweet tripel, maybe has mellowed a bit with a year on it. Good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle) Pours out a clear gold color with a fairly thin white head and good lacing. Aroma holds a nice array of scents, with aromas of pears, banana, stale sourdough bread, honey, and some faint vanilla. As it warms, the banana and honey scents become predominant, and a little bit of warming alcohol is detected. When cold, there was an off scent that was somewhat sour, but with warming the aroma really begins to round out and showcase the more doughy scents I was looking for from the yeast. The pale malt really shows up here well with further warming, and I begin to smell some angel food cake. The flavor is somewhat similar to the aroma, but not as complex, with an even pale malt sweetness showing up in the fore before yielding to mid flavors of floral honey, light peach and apricot, and a finish of stale bread with faint bitterness and lingering alcohol heat. Hints of spice are shown too. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is more toned down than most tripels Iíve tried. Overall this is a solid take on a tripel, and most of the elements that are present in its Belgian counterparts, are also present within this beer. Well done Grand Teton.
