3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s into a goblet. Pale, orange, unfiltered appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of bready malts, coriander, citrus fruits, banana, spices, noble hops and herbs. Similar flavor, pretty light and refreshing, finishing on the sweet side. Pretty balanced and sessionable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: Pours a hazy, light grain colored ale. Despite saying the beer is hazy, it has excellent clarity. No head formation on pour, but can be agitated with stirring. However, this is almost immediately transient. No lacing.
S: Grain, lemon rind, bavarian yeast, hints of soil. The slightest feel of coriander and pepper. Pleasant. At the far end, there is a hint of rubber (not cool).
T: Wheat, corn meal, yeasty, sweet. Slightly acidic with citrus tones. Salt water taffy tone.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation. Slicks the palate and sticks around.
D: The beer is okay. Not the most drinkable of their offerings, and unfortunate given this is one of my favorite locals. This beer as a weizenbock exceeds expectations, this does not though.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap: cloudy gold with a small white ring head. Aroma of rubber, spiced apples, blunt yeast. The flavor is yeasty, tangy banana with kind of a weird aftertaste. Not a fan.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks, James McBrewer! Tasted from bottle into standard pint glass. Poured a nice cloudy light amber color with full white foam, some lace. Very aromatic yeast, banana, apricot, some clove and black pepper, some mild malty aromas underneath. Flavor was very mild and balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, notes of bread and caramel, biscuits with honey, lots more apricot. Light body, chalky/yeasty mouthfeel, very refreshing dry finish. A nice true-to-style Hefeweizen with some added fruitiness. Tasty.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Bottle] Pours pale, hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is about what I look for in my hefes--lots of banana and cloves, good amount of yeastiness and restrained alcohol. Taste is a bit of a letdown, but not awful. The banana and clove show up, but it is all around too weak, with the malt dominating for most of the time, with some alcohol towards the end. Very smooth, medium mouthfeel, finish length is a little short to average. Overall, a nice hefe, but it still falls well short of the elite wheat beers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet musty malts with bananas and cloves and some acidity and citric fruits.
The flavor is sweet malts with a little citric fruit and some earthy yeast and an acidic dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a solid unfiltered wheat.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle from bhensonb) Pours a cloudy light gold with a medium sized white head that quickly settles to a thin cap. Aroma of banana, clove, vanilla, bready wheat, and just a faint hint of orange creamsicle. Nearing perfection in what I look for in a hefe aromatically. Flavor follows suit with some light banana, clove, snappy wheat, and a lingering bready finish. My only complaint would be that the banana is a little toned down for my tastes, but this would be a great introductory beer for someone just getting accustomed to the style. Mouthfeel is a little thin as well, but it doesn’t detract that much. Carbonation is lively. Overall, this would be a great beer to session during any month, but particularly in the summer. Thanks Bill!
