COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Teton Brewing Company has created what might be the first-ever all-Idaho beer, named “Idaho Pale Ale.” This exceptionally flavorful India Pale Ale (IPA)-style brew was crafted only with hops grown in Southwest Idaho, high country barley grown and malted in Southeast Idaho, and pure Teton mountain spring water.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a soft and delicate patch of foam while the liquid was a glowing yellow hue filled with a ton of sediment. As for the nose, there was a vibrant aroma of pine and citrus fashioned hops that were impressing considering this was a pale ale style. The flavor is mild yet holds a bitter and metallic undertone that makes this beer not so mild. Some taste of flowers and orange peel or tart apricot that is able to carry this beer through.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Tap at Happy Gnome. Clear light golden pour with a white head. Light citrus aroma and taste, with a touch of bready malts. Maybe some grassy hops in here too.

There is a sweet hop aroma with slight skunkiness. It has a light white head with a hazy golden body. The brew has a dry, bitter taste that is the opposite of what I expected from the aroma. It is crispy on the palate and finishes quite dry. This is not a session beer, but it has merit in its quirkiness.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 Wow hoppy as hell 200 ibus. Hop heads dream. If your really a hop head. Taste smells of nothing but hops. Citrus an floral. With a slight pine.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a snifter with a clear, orange/golden color, a 1/2 inch of foamy, off white head that gradually reduced to film in the middle, but left a persistent, thick ring and clingy, curtainy lacing on the glass. The aroma was stinky, dank grain, yeast, light malt, and just the slightest amount of citrus. The flavor added a strong, earthy & rind-like, dry, tongue coating, very lingering, but harsh hop bitterness. Medium bodied, and good carbonation, but didn’t sense enough malt to lessen the sting. The finish was dry and very bitter. Pricey pour, and somewhat out of control for a Pale and even an IPA.

On cask at Hops and Pies dry hopped with Idaho Bravo hops poured a hazy gold with a lasting off white heasd. Aromas of straw, earthiness, grapefruit zest and lemon zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, grapefruit zesty, lemon zest and light earthiness with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Hazy copper pour with medium off-white head. Nose is very wet and resiny (that wet-hop dankness). Resiny front with big bready malt backbone. Long bitter finish. Its resiny on the verge of being soapy. Pretty typical wet hop IPA...

Draft, Light yellow gold. Aroma of oranges and light grain. Taste has lots of floral and citrusy hops. Light texture, very crisp and refreshing.
