3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is one of the best Maibocks I’ve had. Sweet aromas and flavors of citrus, bread, sugar and caramel. Pours a beautiful light copper color with a frothy off white head. Delicious beer.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very interesting. Certainly one of the most flavorful and complex lagers I’ve had and, not coincidentally, about the only barrel aged one. Plenty of barrel aging impact but not so much so as to mask some of the underlying lager character.
O: worth seeking out.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a average white head. Aroma is bready with some butterscotch and caramel apple. Flavor is sugar plums, dark bread and a bit of toffee. Finish is sweet but not overly heavy. A pretty tasty Americanized version of this style.
