bhensonb (2680), Woodland, California, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle. Color is remarkably similar to the Fire Station 5 Brush Fire, but the white head stayed just a tad longer. Light malt aroma with some fruity/floral hop. Light body with slightly coarse, but mild, carbonation. Flavor is malt and a little light stone fruit. Not a great deal of bitter. Pleasant, but I’d rate it below Brush Fire. Still, this also resembles low bitter English ESBs.
topherh (249), Kearney, Missouri, USA May 24, 2008 Poured a pale yellow with little aroma. Thin and light like a pale lager. Sweet malt and some fruitiness in the flavor. marcus (893), Sacramento, California, USA May 14, 2008 This hazy golden ale poured with a disappearing beige head. There is a watery flavor with a hint of roasted malt and a light hop finish. douglas88 (589), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle bought in Yellowstone by my wife. Thanks. Pours a light orange with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malts and apricot. The taste is similar; a smooth sweet wheaty body with a bunch of fruit and some fizzyness. Not bad. CasperQuaffer (133), Casper, Wyoming, USA Apr 28, 2008 Aroma of malt, yeast and slight cardboard. Pours almost mega-brew straw with unremarkable off white foam. Some hop bite rescues a weak and slightly caramel taste. Palate is watery, but the hops and carbonation combine to give some character. Over all a good summer ale.
