3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Liter swing-top from South Bay Drug. Pours hazy copper with a two finger creamy beige head. Huge citrus aroma over seriously roasted malt. Medium body with mild carbonation. Meanwhile the head laces a little. Flavor is a mix of coarse roast malt and grapefruit. Overall itís pretty balanced, but the harshness of the malt seems to interfere with the glorious hop. Claims to be a red ale, which means toward amber, which means maltier than some things. And it is. It has enough hop to beat down that maltiness a bit. Pretty good ale. Once it gets going down, itís hard to stop.
