A: The pour is a pale golden color, akin to straw, with a fair amount of haze and a minimal head.
S: The name is certainly appropriate for this beer. Quite a bit of grass, and a very wild/green nose overall. Some mild Brett funk, a bit of earth, and some lemon peel.
T: The grassy quality is well represented in the flavor department as well. A good amount of citrus zest, a touch of lemon tartness, and earthy and bretty to provide a bit of fruit.
M: The body was on the lighter end of the spectrum with a fair amount of fizz.
D: Not a bad beer, overall, but I was expecting more tartness (given that this was being served at a sour festival).

Tasted on tap at the 4th Annual Stone Sour Fest on 7/18/2010. This sour sale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is grassy, lemony and sweet. A medium bodied sour. The malts are fruity and sweet, grassy and bretty. The hops are floral. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Tap @ sour fest. Pours a lightly hazed golden orange with a frothy white head. Great nose of Brett funk and citrus hops. Flavor was very light with low bitterness and lightly funky.

Interesting beer. On tap. Aroma is grassy, light citrus and medium funk. Taste is grainy, citrus, brett and maybe, just maybe, lightly tart. A bit grassy with a funky and dry finish. I don’t really know what to make of this beer...was it a mistake? It was for me spending tickets getting it.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 18, 2010
A bit of a misnomer as there is nothing sour about the beer. The hops were very fresh and still vibrant, good moderate bitterness, lots of C hop aroma and flavor, body was very dry from the brett, the funk was minimal, lots of pineapple, tastes like they used Brett C, very fruity and tasty. Just the right amount of funk to play with the hops and not cover them up.

Stone sourfest. Cloudy yellowish frothy white head. Nose is grassy hops and grain, light fruits and tartness flavor is mostly the IPA base beer--- grassy, resin, grainy malts-- with soft accents of likely bret-infused sourness, a subtle variation with a nice tart kick.
