Pours hazy copper with a medium creamy beige head, very fine lasting lacing. Aromas of caramel, grass, biscuit, some distant floral notes. Medium light body, crisp and dry. Very pleasant mild sweetness, a hint of lemon, then a medium lasting bitter finish. Complex, refined, almost understated, refreshing.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, amber, off white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus fruit, bread and grass. Taste follows nose, citrusy, some fruit, some bread and malts. Nicely balanced, not bad.

From the tap on 04.23.16. A: Orange rind, lemon, and biscuit. A: Slightly hazy amber body. T: Follows the nose with the addition of grapefruit. P: Medium mouthfeel with bubbles on the back. O: It’s juicy, but a bit rough.

12 oz. bottle into a dirty shaker. Bottled 8/28/2015. A: Pours murky orange with a huge jagged white head that has dogged retention and thick lacing. S: Can’t smell much due to a headcold but I do get a sweet citrus tangerine scent. Will give an average rating to be fair. T: Sweet caramel lasts but a fleeting second before a blast of bitter zest arrives and takes over. A tart fruity note joins in for the finish, providing good complexity. M: Medium heavy in body with a fine carbonation wash and a medium short finish. Surprisingly dry and clean with only a slight oiliness. O: A bit unusual in my experience, this is pretty good though expensive at $12/6. I wont be buying this regularly (except maybe with TW coupons) but this is well worth a try if not an occasional purchase. Recommended.

Poured into a shaker glass. Amber color with a cream colored head. Aroma is caramel malt with some citrusy hops. Flavor starts with a bit of grainy sweetness and transitions into some earthy floral hops and some citrus notes. Medium bodied. Decent pale.

Pours a clear golden amber color with a little white head. Aroma is of hops, sweet malts, herbs, floral, earthiness, and some citrus. Flavor is similar. Solid floral hops really come through up front, with a little citrus balance and some earthiness. Well balanced. Heavier palate. Good stuff.

Big lemon merangue looking head... lite gold/new penny copper with substantial hop haze. Thick lacing that lasts for the entire glass. Smell is different than most APA’s ... there is alot of big citrus .. even some grapefruit rind... but mixed in, a hoppy spiciness that is quite unexpected, but not a bad thing in my mind. No real malt to exactly identify... maybe some toasty bready notes... but just barely balanced .... barely. Citrus hops right out of the gate ... more citrus peel/pith... a little on the bitter side.... lingering bitterness.. finishes with a little lemon zest. Again, across the board, this is a hop delivery device; I think it could use a little more malt and body.

Surprising amount of aroma. Not sure what they are hopping this with but pretty different from the last batch I had 5 years ago. Good balance, some sweetness but not as big as the name would suggest. Prefer to Mirror Pond

I can see why this won Gold at GABF! Delicious Pale Ale with a phenomenal hop aroma, light body and ABV. Citrus in the nose, with some fruity yeast characters. Big fan and I could drink this all day!

Poured from a bottle. Light amber color with moderate off-white head. Aroma is complex with fruit, flowers, and a bit of spice and hop, too. That complexity carries over to the flavor. Taste starts sweet with caramel and fruit but the hops come in quickly for a just bitter enough finish. Great example of an APA. Very drinkable.
