There are so many beers out there, so many styles, and so many that I have tried. Not many stand out from the pack. This beer is good, but no exception to the rule.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a amber with an average white head. Aroma is sweet, sicky toffee malts with an ever so slight hop. Flavor is a decent earthy malt with some gingerbread and caramel. Kinda different but flavorful for amber ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Poured medium hazy amber with a dense cap of beige head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up an odd dose of sour berry notes upfront with bready and nutty sweetness beneath.. the berries were odd, but it came together decently. The flavor found the same lightly tart/sour fruits upfront, sporting a grainy texture.. some berries and toasty caramel on the back-end.. lots of residual sugars and tartness on the finish. Light-medium bodied with an OK flow across the palate.. quasi-refreshing.. not a bad drinker, and perhaps an older bottle.
