3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bhensonb (8954) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 27, 2008
Aromas of caramel malt and floral hop. Hazy reddish amber color with a white/beige head that ringed rapidly. Medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. The flavor is bready/caramel malt and citrus and a touch of funk. The finish is sort of citrus sour/sweet with a little hop bitter to go along. A balanced finish, but it seems "dusty".

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JAN 18, 2005
Pours a clear copper mahogany with a thick, frothy, and heavily lacing off-white head. Aroma is pretty subtle with some sugary caramel sweetness and a faint touch of cascade hops. Body has a decent thickness to it and good carbonation to support a milld sweetness balanced with a semi-dry hoppier finish. A very smooth drinking beer with decent flavor for an amber. Thanks Indiana_Red!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ughsmash (6666) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Bottled. Poured medium hazy amber with a dense cap of beige head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up an odd dose of sour berry notes upfront with bready and nutty sweetness beneath.. the berries were odd, but it came together decently. The flavor found the same lightly tart/sour fruits upfront, sporting a grainy texture.. some berries and toasty caramel on the back-end.. lots of residual sugars and tartness on the finish. Light-medium bodied with an OK flow across the palate.. quasi-refreshing.. not a bad drinker, and perhaps an older bottle.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jercraigs (6473) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2006
Bottle from Secret Santa. Nice dark amber borwn, small tan head. Lightly nutty with a dark malt aroma. Similar flavour, some grainy malt and a dry light bitterness. Very malty flavour, toast malt begins to dominate as it warms up. Average palate. Decent but does not leave me wanting more. Quite similar to the Fish Tale Organic Amber I had previously actually, but not quite as coherent.
