From the bottle poured amber with a fair amount of head. Flavor of burnt malt, not that good.

This beer is not what it used to be. When I first tasted it, it was much darker, too roasty and not what you think of when you think of an Amber ale. Today it pours a deep amber, almost red color. It has a fine, light tan head that rouses easily. The aroma is balanced, nothing over the top, with some subtle, earthy hop aroma and caramel malt rising when swirled. The flavor is well balanced, not too hoppy, not too malty. I could drink a few of these, and probably will. Overall, this is a very nice beer--highly drinkable without sacrificing flavor or mouthfeel. Good Job!

Bottle bought in Yellowstone, NP. Pours a dark amber body with a large off-white head. The aroma is full of lots of caramel and some floral hops. The flavor is dominated by a smooth caramel malt, with some bitter hops, and grapefruit. Quite flavorful and somewhat aggressive. Nice.

Bottle, pours a reddish brown with a thick frothy foam head. Hop & lemon nose. A little hop bite to the taste that gets stronger with the aftertaste. Some definite acidity.

Hopped up amber, not mellow enough for what I was looking for. Nice crisp nose. Looks good. It hides the malt behind the hops. Decent enough.

Pour: A mahogany color with a one finger head. Nose: Hops, with a hint of malt and citrus. Taste: The taste is hoppy, with citrus and floral notes. there is a bit of malt character in the mix. Body Thin to medium Finish: Slightly bitter in the finish: Nice malt and hop on the end.
