3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, USA - NOV 3, 2011
1 Pint, 9.4 oz capped bottle, 2011 version, sampled Nov 2011: clear golden with a creamy ivory top, that looks quite a bit like whipped cream, although a ver thin topping...sweet, Brady aromatics with a strong banana character and wisps of dusty ginger and honey. That balance of flavors beats the aroma: tasty noble hops combined with a grain bill that creates a well rounded, flavorful and highly drinkable beer. Sign me up for another, even without the complexities of a more funky/traditional farmhouse beer. Thanks!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 portableparty (1190) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 25, 2012
2011 bottle. Pours clear light amber with a large white soapy head that fades to a foamy film and lacing. Aroma is grainy farmhouse and faint lemongrass and malt. Taste is subtle funky grain and malt with subtle lemon funk and tartness. Palate is medium and slick and finishes dry. A slightly above average Saison.

750ml from Total Wine, Greenville, SC. Bright pour, semi-hazy straw gold with a vibrant, crisp carbonation. Nose is vaguely phenolic, a bit of noble hops (at least the impression thereof), and a light dose of pear. Taste is moderately grassy, a bit of diacetyl, some evident hops. Pretty decent saison.

2011 vintage: pours hazy pale golden, lots of fluffy off white head and carbonation. Nose- hat, dried bananas, lemon, clove, floral, bread dough malts. Honey sweetness, oats, citrus, dough and quite fluffy carbonation. Dry grassy finish with mild bitterness and a bit of white pepper spiciness.
Nice balance. Solid.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cards04 (299) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
Pours a cloudy straw colour. Nice soft, foamy white head. Aromas include wet hay, a bit of sweet bubblegum and banana... lemon zest too. Bubbly mouthfeel, medium body. Taste is citrus, some hefeweizen flavors, with a bitter citrus finish that lingers. Not bad, but not superb either.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Glouglouburp (4783) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 5, 2012
In short: A basic semi-rustic fruity blonde Saison. Decent.
How: Bottle 750ml. 2011 vintage. Consumed 6 months after bottling date. Bottle sent to me by Alen, thanks buddy
The look: Cloudy amber-blond body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is a bit rustic, somewhat phenolic, some flowers. A bit too much phenols on the aroma unfortunately. Taste has a the usual bready cereals, light rye bread sensation, a touch of honey, fresh young red apples, dried bananas, floral hops, a bit of dry grass, light mineral/salty spiciness, some celeries. Finish is moderately dry and has a mild bitterness. Carbonation is spot-on and the body is very lively, that’s the one thing this beer does very well. Another “decent” beer acquired in a trade, I keep telling myself I’ll slow down trading but some people just never change, like that homeless old man begging for change next my work office everyday, he’s been wearing the same shirt for the last five days.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 JoePeesie (752) - Long Lake, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Pours a hazy light bright orange with about 2 fingers of fizzy white head that laces in chunks. Nose is of wet hay, lemon, a touch of spice. Taste follows suit with a lemon tart finish. A bit sweeter that expected. Crisp but not dry. Spiciness is not over done. Very enjoyable beer especially for $8.

750mL bottle. Poured clear, bright golden with a fairly short-lived white head. The aroma picked up lemon zest, cloves, and coriander with a little grains of paradise around there too.. soft honey-kissed pale base.. spices and wheat really led. The flavor found similar stuff.. tart wheat and lemon zest plus cloves and grains of paradise over a nondescript base.. tart, tangy, and spicy on the finish, with too much spicage to really be refreshing. Light-medium bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. just a decent feel and flow.. OK brew.

2011 bottle... murky golden brown, big off white head, good retention... the aroma is quite nice, stone fruits, apricots, tart and musky but sweet, smells great.... the taste is mostly floral, a bit of grain, the sweet fruit notes are gone as well as the tartness, a bit of boring finish... good almost great, taste needs to come through a bit more
