Wake Up Call Imperial Coffee Porter has a distinct and robust coffee flavor that blends harmoniously with the roasted malts. Caramel, chocolate, and black malts give this ale its dark color and overtones of caramel and a cocoa-like sweetness. Only very gently hopped, the addition of coffee shines through, providing a delicious accent to this brew.

Served on tap at Pizza Port OB. The appearance is a good looking coffee brown with a small head. Great coffee aromas with nice malts. The flavors are coffee with an acidic edge and cocoa. Nice oatmeal flavors and texture as well although is isn’t supper creamy. Medium roasty mouth. A nice coffee porter.

Bottle pours brown-black with think head. Aroma caramel malts, coffee. Taste caramel and dark chocolate, slight roast and coffee, vegetal notes. Palate full and creamy. Finish slight hops and roast. Alcohol not detectable..

Good but not great coffee stout.

750ml poured into snifter. Black, less then a finger of tan, cream color head. Bottle conditioned not to much carbonation. Carmel, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and at the end roasted coffee for the aroma. Sweet right up front, chocolate and carmel hit right away finishes with the roasted coffee that blends amazing with the roasted malt. Almost a smokey after taste, but the coffee is more there. Medium to light body. Overall not great, but still pretty solid and very good. Cheers

A - pours near opaque mahogany with high fluffy brown head that disappears quickly and laces immediately. S - very simplistic aromas of burned malts, coffee grounds, and hints of wood and caramel malts. Very uninteresting. M - nice medium bodied porter. Simplistic tastes. Lingering dark malty ending. With a light alcohol ending. Lightly sticky sweet through out. T - vegetal and burned malts up front. Coffee grounds, toffee, and dark brown sugar. Lingering subtle soapy and malty not. O - overly simplistic coffee porter. 6/6+

Bottle. Pours a black color with a tan head. Sweet coffee, roasted malts aroma. Coffee and malt flavor with a strong bitter coffee bean after taste. Not the best coffee porter I’ve had, but pretty good.

Bomber from Mike and Laura...thanks! Complex blend of coffee and chocolate malts...a little less profound than some but still very tasty.

bottle 8/30/11. oily appearance. orange tinted porter brown with a pale brown head which leaves some spotty lacing. coffee is all over the nose...wow! notes of roasty coffee, chocolate, wood, sour cream, ash , smoke, roast.... a nice porter base with a ton of coffee. flavors of cocoa nib and vanilla are noticed as it warms....caramel on the back end along with wood and a ’green’ thing from the coffee. really pleasant bitterness on the finish which lingers into the aftertaste along with ann amazing amount of coffee and it’s roastiness. it is smooth and creamy yet it is the bitterness which keeps me coming back. 8+/3/8/4/16

22 oz. bottle. Pours very dark brown, just about black, with clear edges when held against sunlight. Moderate-large tan head that fades after the first quarter of the glass and leaves light lace. The aroma is wonderful with ample fresh coffee along with a bit of cocoa and vanilla. Very nice. The flavor is roasted malt, with the roast being just a bit harsh, with some coffee as well. None of the cocoa or vanilla found in the aroma. Moderate coffee and roast bitterness at the finish.

Bomber. 9:30 PST. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a thin tan head that produced good lacing. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, and hints of vanilla. Taste of coffee, caramel and chocolate malts. Well carbonated, sweet, and slight coffee bitterness on the back end.
