COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To commemorate that twenty-year history, the brewers of Grand Teton have chosen four of our favorite beers--three current, one historical--to update and enhance. XX Au Naturale Organic Double Red Ale is the third release in our 2008 XX series. Au Naturale Organic Blonde is the newest member of Grand Teton’s mainstay beers, first brewed in 2006. Crafted with organic German malt and hops, it has a clean, smooth character reminiscent of the best European lagers. For our 20th Anniversary celebration, we’ve traded in the blonde for a redhead while keeping our German roots. Still brewed with all German organic malt and hops, the XX Au Naturale is bigger, maltier--and redder--than the original. The reddish Vienna malts that give this ale its color provide a spicy sweetness and some caramel notes that perfectly complement roast or grilled chicken, pizza, or pasta.

Retarded 1L wax dipped bottle. Why, WHY do we have to wax dip swing top bottles? This annoyance aside, this was a nice malty, hoppy beer. Pretty typical for the style, but tasty nonetheless.

pours a semi-clear burnt auburn with a foamy dirty-beige head, and good lacing. smell is of roasted caramel, malt, some spice, barley, some sweet fruits. taste is caramel, toasted walnuts, an organic funk, spice, hops, and some grain. overall would have scored better if it was not for the organic funk that stays with you after you are done drinking.

AmEricanbrew (5616) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - SEP 17, 2008
1 litre waxed swing top bottle which took fifteen minutes to open. Clear amber with a frothy light tan head, nice lacing. A mild aroma is spicy herbal hop. Medium body with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. Good flavor is grainy malt grist with light caramel. Has a subtle herbal hop sweetness to finish. Pretty nice beer here, though the bottle is a pain in the ass to open.

RSRIZZO (1850) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 25, 2008
Aroma is a roasted malt scent with some hop tones. Color is a bright amber with a slight haze, very good carbonation and a thick tight head. Taste is malty and crisp. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth yet with a crisp feel. Finish comes in malty and slightly sweet then a little hop flavor with a hint of bitterness. After taste is clean with the bitterness hanging around a bit. This is a really good brew its easy drinking and well balanced.

Crosling (1863) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - JUL 26, 2008
Soon to be available in 1.0 L bottles. Red bronze color with ample foam that fades into a collar around the glass. Nose is very light in character overall, with glimmers of citrus types hops along with a light hint of dough. Flavor opens up pretty well. Malt flavors of caramel and cookie, with well balanced bitterness and hop flavors of lemon and herb. It’s a pretty good beer overall.
