Great aroma of mollases, fruit, and hops. A very different brew, yet it works. It pours dark brown with a minimal tan head. The taste is mollases, chocolate, toffee and bright hoppiness that balances out the dark sweetness. It has a very creamy body yet goes down light on the palate, making this an easy drinking but also a tasty and satisfying beer.

Aroma of coffee cake and cola, taste was at first rich caramel, toffee, flavor, but that exhorbatant bittering very quickly took over and all that bitterness became dominant That caramely malt taste fades to the background. This is a hop bitterness, but very English hops. Very interesting

Poured a deep dark brown with slight ruby hues. Smells of chocolate and roasted grain. Taste is sweet, a little chocolate, a little roasted barley, and a lot of earthy tones, mainly peat and molasses. Bosy was sticky sweet, big and bold. I havent had many ESBs, but this one strikes me as a scotch ale more than anything. I cant imagine drinking that huge fucking bottle alone. It was delicious, but i’d probably rather eat the bottle than drink the whole thing.

I’m not much of an ESB fan, but this sounded intriguing. Colour... cloudy, dark, old copper penny. Nose... hoppy with brown sugar and malt. Palate... hops at the front, then sweet with malt, caramel, orchard fruits and toffee. Nice stuff!

Pours out dark brown with lots of cola like foam. Taste is sweet malt with some bitter hops. Slight roasty nutty flavors, with sticky sweet candy.Dry finish, good balance. More Brown ale than ESB. Great brew in a big ass bottle.

Bottle. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy, light brown head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toffee), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine), average yeast (sweat, leather) with notes of grape, apple, peach, and pear. Medium bodied, sticky and mineral texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

1 litre swing top bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of toffee, burnt carmel, pine and orange zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of burnt carmel, toffee, cocoa, pine and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Thanks to Josh for sharing at Hopdogs. Medium deep amber with a thin lasting head and some sticky lace. Aroma is herbal and floral english hops iwth a slight hint of citrus pnw hops. Slight sweetness- some caramel and toffee flavor with a blanace of tea like and floral hops with more of that citrus orange zest note and turns a bit earthy (plastic and leather) and herbal in the end but still nice. Good malt backbone stands up to a nice earthy bitterness in the end.

Poured a dark amber color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus, caramel, brown sugar, and nuts. Taste of caramel malts, tobacco, nuts, citrus fruits, molasses, grapefruit, and alcohol in the finish.

1 liter, flip top bottle, shared courtesy of Josh. Poured a deeper amber, almost brown, color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toffee, citrus, caramel, floral, and some nuttiness. Tastes of toffee, citrus, earthy, and I was getting some chocolate. Nice. My only beef is these 1 liter bottles!
