3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
1L swingtop. Poured a real nice mahogony color with a light tan head. Amost smells like a barleywine, lots of rich maltyness and dark fruits. Taste is a little thinner than the aroma, but still very good. A slight bitterness in the finish as well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is an attractive opaque brown ale that poured with a decent tan head and a rich malt aroma. There is a sweet chocolate flavor with some dark fruit and a slightly sour finish. Some nice hopping causes this to be a very balanced brew, just as an ESB should be.

When I smelled this beer I was kind of expecting a double IPA, but this really is an ESB with the volume turned up to eleven. Turbinado sugar aroma, big earthy hop presence, slight hints of metal. Quite Nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
1 litre bottle. Pours a deep dark reddish brown with glints of ruby when held against sunlight with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Heavy aroma of malt with notes of caramel, molasses and plums. The flavor is not quite as intense as the aroma nor as sweet with malt, molasses, plums and a bit of coffee. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied and a little sticky on the palate, which I thought fit this beer just fine. Good stuff!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: 750 ml swing top, waxed bottle.
A waxed swing top? Really? Anyway, the color is a very dark brown with a dense tan head. The nose favors the malt with notes of caramel, perhaps a hint of chocolate, and pale malt sweetness. The hops are there though, bringing notes of citrus along for the ride. The flavor is a mix of chewy malts (bread, caramel, and toast) and citrusy hops (orange mostly). An interesting combination that makes for a tasty brew. medium to rich in body with a lingering malty finish. This is a unique beer that is worth seeking out.

Um yes please. Beautiful burgundy pour, light head with a slight oatyness balance out by the alcoholic body and nice bitter profile. Yes please ESB.
