3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 9, 2008
Note: wax on a swing top bottle looks nice but = major pain in the A** to open. Bottled May 8, 2008. Lightly hazed orange umber color. Very tall lasting dark cream colored head. Quite fruity in aroma. I’m actually detecting fruit loops, with what ever grain is used and the pseudo sweet chemical fruit scent. I’m catching some evergreen and herbal hops as well. Sweet wheat and malt flavors with just a hint of fermented berries. A bit like the berry wines my grandmother used to make. Quite bubbly and a touch syrupy. Things just don’t seem to come together in this one. A bit of a mess. A decent fruity malt liquor is the best description I can come up with.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Suttree (3926) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 29, 2012
The biggest problem with this beer is that the fruit flavor and aroma was...odd. I actually said that it taste like niacin, or one of the B vitamins. And sweet! oh, so sweet. cloying. I mean, this wasn’t horrible, but a sample was enough.

Lightly hazed brown pour with foamy tan head. Aroma is flat/old berries and a brown sugar note. Flavor is sweet brown sugar with a funky flat berry flavor. A strange flat tartness as well. Medium bodied but a tad fizzy for me. From a damn big bottle I’m thankful I didn’t have to drink by myself. Not all bad but not real good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 SpringsLicker (2546) - Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2012
Hazy orange with a thin white head.
Fruity with alcohol and a medicinal cough syrup aroma.
The flavor is light, fruity with none of the alcohol notes perceived in the aroma.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (6835) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Pours a clear deep amber with ruby hints and a large frothy, clumpy-lacing off-white head. Has a sweet berry nose with a hint of fruity tartness and malted wheat. Starts fairly full with a chewy wheaty sweetness and some nice berry complexity with a touch of hoppy bitter balance and doughy yeast before a drier sweet-tart finish. A pretty unique and well-balanced beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 koopa (335) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2010
A: ruby / mahogany color with a nice billowing head that is quite dense. Excellent lretention and lacing. The side of the glass looks like it has been frosted with snow after finishing the drink :)
S: a nice balance of malt flavor, wheat, and a hint of acidic berry. The berries become more pronounced as it warms up.
T: Not much berry flavor which I’m happy about. Just a hint in the background that doesn’t draw your attention away from the beautiful malt and wheat balance. The malt presence is a tad submissive to the wheat flavor which I like.
M: very smooth with a perfect amount of carbonation.
D: Easy drinker all the way! BTW the wax coated swivel top is a pain to remove but classy none the less.

Poured a hazy deep copper color with a large off-white head. The aroma smelled like dirty berries. The flavor was wheaty with berries. Slick on the tongue. Light bodied with a taste and feel of alcohol. A mess.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dickinsonbeer (5075) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 1, 2010
1 Liter bottle. Pours a hazy deep orange amber with a spritzy moderate head- no lace. Aroma is wheaty dough, crackers, light toast, corn flakes, light fruit juice, violets, floral, and blackberry and artificial sweeteners. Flavor is doughy with wheat, some juice, berry, flowery, blackberry, gets a bit solvent and phenolic with earthy leather and astringent finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sparky (2129) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 5, 2009
Huge ass flip top waxed bottle courtesy of BOLTZ7555 – thanks J! Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with a 3 finger dense tan head that results in delicate lacing. The nose is sweet fruit, molasses and caramel. The taste is follows the aroma fairly close with a interesting boozy sourish finish. Comes off more like a barleywine. Medium mouthfeel. Interesting beer. Not horrible, but not very good and not something I want to drink a liter of that’s for sure. Thanks for the opportunity to try this J!

Lots of sweetness in the nose. Wheat malts, fruity berries, and the hint of a buggy note. Pours hazy amber with a giant head and visible sediment. Sweet and wheaty with lots of fruit - both fresh and somewhat artificial. A touch of twang in the finish and noticeable alcohol too. Highly carbonated. Glad I finally got it out of the fridge. This bad boy took up a lot of room, plus it was a BITCH to open.

OK, so I finally cracked this May 2008 one liter bottle. Pours a cloudy red-brown color with a large creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet; lots of berries and fruit. The flavor is dominated by a rich fruitiness; lots of sweet berries, blueberry being dominant and very noticeable. Lots of rich malts and dry wheat as well. Very natural and pretty nice.
