Prety nice everall. Not much hops. Balanced flavors with some woodsy and floral aspects. I mostly got a balance of fruity hops and caramel malts. hopdog (5535), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 16, 2007 1 liter, green waxed, bottle acquired in trade with jimbowood (thanks!). 2006 vintage. Poured a deeper orange color with an averged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, earthy, orange peels, fruit rinds, and caramel. Tastes of citrus, same earthiness, and caramel. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Dec 12, 2007 Big ass 1L waxed swingtop bottle. This is more along the lines of an American Strong Ale that a Double IPA. A lot more malt forward in aroma and flavor. Snickers Bar aroma: Caramel, nuts, nougat. Some toffee Muted pine resin. Pours copper with a thick, rocky white head leaving very sticky lacing down the glass. Actually, fairly decent interplay of grassy, piney hops and sweet, sticky malt. Orange jam, toffee, a hint of bread dough. Hell... as this warms, it becomes better and better. Medium to full bodied and quite rich and creamy. Finishes with some zesty citrus and caramel malt.
