Cask@Beer On Broadway, Ealing, London. Pretty clean and malty blonde ale. Some lightly citric ever so slightly juicy hops, but the main character is the grainy pale malt. Well made i think, but i guess i’ve never been a fan of lagery ales, none i’ve had have done much for me.

A Mes rate: Unusually good quality serving from Baker Street ’Spoons. Dusty and fruity liberty hops. Not much else going on but a typically downable hoppy drop of English. One dimensional it may be but I enjoyed every sip.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 26 Nov) Golden amber colour with small white head. Fruity nose with notes of grapefruit, lemon and hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon and apricots. Nice, hoppy finish. Hoppy, but rather one-dimensional.

SilkTork (4737) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JAN 12, 2006
<a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/15/153 Chancery Lane Dull, slightly thin and yet greasy malt. Hop lingers in a decent fashion but is let down by the malt. Grand Union are fine except when they go in the lager direction.

Cask Conditioned, at the Crosse Keys, London.
Golden, bright, with a soft white head. Pineapple and summer fruits, light and very quaffable. Not quite as clean as the Fuller Discovery had on the same night. Good enough to have another.

Cask gravity Canterbury beer festival. I am a big fan of liberty hops and this has got a great aroma of this hop type. Golden ale with good citrus and balance. Good in mouth with that kick of liberty hops on the finish

Attractive glowing gold colour. Juicy, fresh and fruity, if a bit sweet. There’s some light malt in the aroma but it doesn’t seem too well integrated. Has a bit more presence than a lot of lager styled summer ales. I thought this was pretty reasonable. Cask (gravity dispense), Ealing Beer Festival 2005.

Cask @ Ealing BF: Thin body, boring fruity flavour. Light gold in colour. Mild malts, slightly metallic finish. Drinkable but not a great summer ale.
