COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Autumn and Winter. Brewed in 2003 for the cold months.
A different recipe every year but always very strong, warming and tasty. Perfect for sipping in front of an open fire (but don’t fall in).

Cask Conditioned Take-Away, from the Battersea Beer Festival, 2004.
Dark, dark brown colour. Sweet barley wine aroma, blended with softer porter notes. Drinking very well. Has a very long sweet palate. Makes you feel like you were drinking beer 300 years ago. Loads of flavour and length.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2005 Claret Freehouse. Stout appearance - all black with no scarlet fringe. Coffee coloured head ring. Sweetish, running quite thin into raspberry notes. Very soft coffee notes in nose and subtly in flavour. The raspberry note lingers unpleasantly - a little sharp and not quite right.
