Cask at Viper Mill Green Beer Festival. A cask conditioned Czech Pilsner. A good effort very similar. I think this would benefit from being served at 10 degrees as this was about 15 degrees it was too warm for the type of beer also at this temperture it was quite sweet but at a lower temp the sweetness would be less and would be hoppyer.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Pale golden colour (tapped directly from the cask so that yours truly could get a sample of it before I headed for York). Smelling light and refreshing, it tasted just like a continental larger without the fizz. Clean and bright. The had a sticker on it stating that it had been ‘Largered at 0 deg C for 273 days’. Pale golden colour.

Pastuerised Bottle. BBE Sept 03. Toffee is very notable. Hops are mildly fragrant. Refreshing and just a little bit more flavoursome and interesting than a standard lager.

Pale straw in colour. Looks anaemic. Aromas aren't bad - sweet, floral with toffee. Flavours are too sweet to be a pilsner and its not dry enough. There are some odd flavours too. Have a Jever.
