[4547-20120622] Cask. Mild fruity grains aroma has a hint of something roastier. Slightly hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted malt grain flavour has a bit of a funky roast fruit hint to it. Medium-full body. Interesting, I like the coffee hints. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

A dark brown head with a thick dark mocha head. In aroma, an strange doughy malt, like wet dough, light fruity notes and solvent. In mouth, a sweet chocolate malt with some dark fruits, coffee grinds, a bit of bitterness, decent. On tap at C’est What’s Festival of Small Brewers, June 23, 2012.

2012-06-22. Very dark brown-black body with a modest tan head. 3+ Mild aroma, mild roasty malt with mild fruity, floral accents to it, sweet malt. 6+ Flavour has a mild sweet malt core, fruity/floral character in the middle, light roast and bitterness in the finish. 7+ Average palate borders on thin, particularly for a porter, but the softness seems to suit it. Pretty quaffable but a touch mild overall. Enjoyable. On Cask at C’est What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries, Toronto
