Thanks to Doug (?) for this one. Mahogany body with no head. Aroma is nerds and burbon, plums, apple, peach. Lots of dark fruit here but some peach as well - maybe rye?

Pours deep amber with a thin off white head. Mostly still. Nose of alcohol, hop, lighter than expected wood and caramel. Flavour had a lot of character, although it was muted. Even toasted malts with some very fine hop bittering. Notes of ripe fruit, brown sugar/molases and berry tart in the finish. It’s always nice to experience the rarity of a barleywine on tap. Appearance A good attempt, but lacking in the same way Mill Street 2004 did. Look forward to further releases.

Good hop and malt aroma. Retaining white soapy head, some lace. Fairly young, a touch of roast, a spot of sugar. medium mouthfeel. Well balanced. A sipping beer, satisfying aftertaste. The best effort yet by this brewery.

Aroma is quite hoppy, fruity, with a malty presence, deep amber, wearing a small toffee head, some pretty lace. Flavour starts out with a big malt hit, some red plums, cherries and caramel, alcohol is there but not in your face. Complex, well balanced, woody, pleasantly bitter, warming as a barley wine should be, the alcohol is subdued. Terrific! Well done Ron Keefe!
