On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear rubyish dark brown with creamy, lasting tan head. Aroma is dark fruit, sweet toffee and a little apple/pear. Flavour is fairly sweet with raisin/date, toffee and some light apple/pear. Slightly boozy. Medium-full body. Soft carbonation. Nice.

[4761-20120914] Cask. Sweetened roasty syrup aroma. Clear, dark amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet roasted beets flavour with a hint of soya sauce background. Medium body. Tasty, drinkable, not typical to the style but I like it. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

Aromasugary malty base with oily alcohol notes. Touch of caramel and earth.
Appearance dark amber-brown with medium light top. 3+.
Flavor and Palate : medium light bodied. Cloying sweet that made me feel that this still could age a bit. Good base but somewhat does not feel very coherent. Caramel with alcohol play at finish.

Cask. Ruddy amber pour with a thin, right laced white head. The nose is a little bit sweet with some definite estery yeast character and a touch of diacetyl as well. It’s sweet but not cloying although I really find the lack of cleanliness in the yeast distracting. As it warms up it becomes even dirtier. Lots of higher alcohols and fusels and it gets cloying as it warms up. Gak. This is pretty rough stuff.

2012-09-14. Dark red-brown body with a small brown head. 3+ Sweet aroma, light alcohol, sweet malt and sugary notes, lightly fruity. 7+ Flavour is richly sweet, sugary character, sweet fruit. 7+ Smooth, medium to full bodied palate, low carbonation. 3+ Decent, I quite liked it at first but its a bit too sweet by the end of it. Putting it on tap with some more carbonation might help a bit? On cask at C’est What Festival of Small Breweries
