2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 JoeMcPhee (6967) - Toronto, ON, - JAN 10, 2006
Cask at Ginger’s Tavern. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is dominated by fresh and hot cinnamon (reminds me of Monteith’s Winter Ale). This hot spiciness masks all the malt aroma that might be in here. Body is quite thin and the flavour is very one-dimensional. It tastes like cinnamon hearts dissolved in a bland pale ale. These guys can do way better.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2005
Draft. Slightly orange amber body with a small white head. Strong aroma of spice, mostly nutmeg with a bit of cinnamon. Sweet malty flavour gets dried out a bit by the spices. Cinnamon takes a back seat to the nutmeg. Average palate. Pleasant but not something I would want to drink tons of.

On tp at Ginger’s. Clear deep golden color with white head & nice lacing. Aroma is of nutmeg, cinnamon & ginger. Body is pretty light, flavor is aforementioned spices. Finishes a tad bit dry with nutmeg remaining on the tongue 2 hours later, as I am writing this.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 GiBrew (171) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 9, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Yellow/orange with a frothy white head. Aromas are very pleasant: Ginger, nutmeg and notes of pumpkin pie. Flavours are mostly ginger with notes of sweetness and a fairly dry mouthfeel.

On tap at Ginger’s. Hazy yellow colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. Spicy ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg aroma. Spice dominates the flavour but remains light, mostly ginger and cinnamon. Tastes more like a ginger snap than pumpkin pie. Creamy and dry mouthfeel. Light bodied, but refreshing.
