JAF737300 (733), New York, New York, USA Oct 28, 2007 Draft in Toronto. POurs golden with a slight colored tinge. The nose is heavy rspberry and the palate shows the same deep fruit flavor. This diminishes but you don’t get much after the hit of fruit.
Rastacouere (5330), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 10, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Feels more or less like the ringwood ale in which a portion of raspberry juice was added.
I like:
Not too subtle, you can guess raspberries were used without having the glass anywhere close to your nose.
I dislike:
Not feeling particularly fresh and this is vital for a blonde fruit beer. More or less successful, the palate remains the same light-bodied, not particularly crisp palate than the ringwood, so does the appearance and the flavours are not a natural match where they could have gathered more appeal in a more complex malt blend.
matt7215 (578), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jun 1, 2008 on tap at the brewery in toronto. golden in colour with a tight white head. nice sweet raspberry aromas. flavour is initially sweet raspberry but this fades into pale malts and this finish is dry and tart. pretty solid and something id for sure have again. i dont think i could take a growler of this one but a few bottles here and there would be awesome. mephisto (1125), Taiwan Jul 3, 2007 draft at granite brewery in toronto. clean golden with almost no head, the aroma is rasberry and so is the flavor. i feel all rasberry beers are off balanced, and so is this one. so maybe it’s just me. robinvboyer (1048), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jun 12, 2007 the description really sums it up, "light tasting raspberry ale" Very light as a matter of fact. i didnt care for this. Its wattery, and doesnt taste like much.
