Aroma: toast, resin, basement aromas,
Appearance: golden, amber, clear, frothy,
Taste: light sweetness, very bitter, medium sourness, umami,
Palate: light body, thin feel, fizzy, lively, bitter, long finish,
Overall I thought this beer was one of the better ones that Granite City had. I really love IPAs and really liked this one even though the depth of the flavor profile wasnít a deep as I would have liked.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It poured a clear copper color with a white head. The aroma was moderate to heavy complex citrus hops and some earthiness. It had a medium body with thick slick texture and soft carbonation. The taste was medium to heavy bittersweet with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. One of the better beers GC offers.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Batch 1000 should be something better than this flavored water. Beautiful color and the beautiful lacing are about the only thing going for this. I am surprised to see it served in a nice glass! -granite city Mishawaka.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated on 12-07-2009 at Granite City (Fort Wayne, IN) (Draft) This draft beer pours a small ivory head with a good retention, transparent body, fair amount of lacing, and an amber hue. The Aroma is malt, hops, grapefruit and citrus. The Taste is very hoppy, bitter, citrus, caramel, and malty. The Palate is smooth and creamy and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very hoppy as it should be for the style, boozy at 9% ABV, and is one of their beer tasting beers that I have rated.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice IIPA and probably the best offering Iíve had from GC. Pour is a medium copper with nice slightly off white head. Nose is hops and citrus, and the flavors largely echo the nose with a little more earthiness and spice.

Wow, yesterday was my day for getting bad versions of beers that are mid-80s plus on here. Had this at the brewpub in Orland Park, IL on tap. Absolutely NO hint of an IPA, let alone a double. Tasted more like a sort-of lager to me, with very little bitterness. I batted 1.000 on this July 4th when it comes to trying new beers!
