3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 valorian (1) - - NOV 18, 2012Beer is a hazy copper color. Very low hop aroma for a double IPA. More malty than a typical DIPA. Overall a very balanced beer. I prefer my DIPA more on the hoppy side.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jsquire (2957) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - FEB 6, 2013
On tap at Maumee, Ohio location. Murky orange amber color with a sticky khaki head. Orange citrus hop nose with some earthy notes. Strong hop flavors with a lot of orange rind, marmalade, apricot around a toffee and caramel sweetness. Lots of malts creating a nice balance for this claimed 9% beer. Not as aggressive as most IIPAs, but a pretty nice beer.

Finally a quality beverage from Granite City. Attractive amber, nice lacing, some bitter hop aroma and flavour. If for some strange reason your stuck at a Granite City location, drink this beer.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20 steeleliver (84) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Was poured a sample, so not much head was visible in my pour. Color was a somewhat hazy copper, leaning more towards a lager gold with a tinge of orange. Sweeter than I expected for the double, hops were well blended and smooth. A bit of citrus flavor, a bit of depth. This would be the GC beer to order.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 csaso (942) - Missouri, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Tap - good size thick head, hazy deep orange color, big grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor, a hint of pine in there too - pretty good for Granite City, definitely one or their better ones

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ericular (228) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 6, 2012
A nice deep reddish brown color. Aroma is nice and strong citrus. Taste is strong, as expected. Citrus dominates the flavor, and this beer is very tasty. Good carbonation, and not too bitter of an aftertaste. Best GC beer I’ve had, by far.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JK (3966) - Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Aroma has hops and caramel, a scent that you know promises a sweet beer. And it is very sweet in the flavor, moderately well hopped. More on the sweet, malty side for an ipa. Low carbonation. One of Granite City’s better creations.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RobertDale (1896) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - FEB 8, 2012
On tap at the brewpup. Comes orange red with an average white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste is piney hops, citrus, florals, and malt. Decent.

As far as GC’s beers go this is near the top, but its still pretty mild and lackluster.
