Draft sample. Poured hazy yellow orange color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus, yeast and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable soft brew.

It poured a golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of yeast and bread. The taste was of banana and some yeast. Not a bad brew.

Decent belgian like aroma. Flavors are fruity, flowery, and suprisingly fresh. The problem here is a mushiness in the malts and a noticable cloying sweetness at the finish. A good attempt but needs to be more serious about belgian style cloning.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a medium sized head of frothy medium sized light clear colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark red colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was malty mild fruit banana and coriander. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish with a acidic aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild citrus coriander hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

tap at the release party in Ft Wayne - A manager told us this brew was 10.2% and I’m a bit skeptical it was that high, but we’ll go with it. That’s why I’ve entered it as a strong ale. As for their commercial description of "a beautiful golden color", wow, umm... no. It’s murky orange-brown. There’s a very minimal head and carbonation is light. It’s a Belgian ale, so what did they do with the carbonation? There’s a malty, lightly fruity aroma that’s pretty good. The flavor is sweet and fruity with a medium body. It doesn’t taste bad, I’m just not clear how this beer could be what they were intending.
