COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A thick creamy head sits atop the opaque blackness of this traditional dry Irish Stout. Roasted chocolate and coffee notes make this beer a great treat.

Tried at Granite City Brewery in Kansas City. Part of a flight. Found all of the beers to be watered down and mediocre at best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Granite City, a boring stout with nothing really going on , dry chalky chocolate dominates in an odd way. no real flavor besides dry chalk.

Had on tap in Madison, WI in March 2013. This pours a dark brown color with a creamy light brown head. There is a sweet malt scent. The texture is pretty thin and light that is sweet, creamy with hints of cocoa. It’s fairly decent given the company as it compares pretty similar to Guinness. Tried it once, but probably not going to try again.

On tap in Sioux Falls, SD actually. Respectable stout here that is cheaper due to me using the Granite City Mug Club.

Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a creamy lacing tan head. Aroma of light roast and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malts and caramel. Smooth but a bit thin.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and flavor is chalky, roasty water. Not good at all.

An okay looking stout, but really there was not much flavour here. Watered down. Cheap.

Looks good in the glass - deep brown or black with a finely foamy head that coats the glass. A lot of roasted coffee in the aroma and the taste. Pretty thin and average stout.

Dark red brown color with a thick off white head. There is a light nose displaying hints of coffee and oats. The palate comes across as slightly creamy with notes of milk chocolate and coffee. An OK stout.

Very feint chocolate scents and a small roast. Taste is a tad of chocolate and a bitter coffee roast, light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
