COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A thick creamy head sits atop the opaque blackness of this traditional dry Irish Stout. Roasted chocolate and coffee notes make this beer a great treat.

tap sampler in Troy, MI. Poured opaque black with a thick creamy beige head with lasting lace. Aroma is roasted with coffee notes. Medium thick mouthfeel with smooth carbonation, finishes dry. Roasted malt flavour with coffee and burnt chocolate notes.

Completly opaque. Dark, dark brown with a tan head that is very fine foam. Aroma of roast malts, kinda nutty - but that could just be me. A bit watery palate, bt is still sticky. Sweet notes with roast flavours again. There are some chocolatey and caramel flavours in there as well. It’s a bit thin overall but still bests guiness

Had on tap in Madison, WI in March 2013. This pours a dark brown color with a creamy light brown head. There is a sweet malt scent. The texture is pretty thin and light that is sweet, creamy with hints of cocoa. It’s fairly decent given the company as it compares pretty similar to Guinness. Tried it once, but probably not going to try again.

NIIIIIICE Brew. Dark with a tan foamy head. Roasty chocolatey coffee taste. I would definitely drink this again. I wish Rapid City had a Granite City so I wouldn’t have to be in Sioux Falls to go there.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2009 Draft at Madison. Dark brown, creamy beige head, probably served on nitro. Aroma is not as muted as in some other nitro stouts, some nice roast malts going on. Flavor is roasted malts, some smoke and chocolate on the tail. Smooth, but somewhat thin bodied. A passable Guinness clone.

Pours black with a creamy, tan head. Copious lacing. Nose is roasted grain with light mocha notes. Dry finish. Pretty much like Guinness. Good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks good in the glass - deep brown or black with a finely foamy head that coats the glass. A lot of roasted coffee in the aroma and the taste. Pretty thin and average stout.

Tap at Maple Grove. Pours a creamy opaque black with a very creamy off-white head which lingers and leaves good lacing. Rather weak aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is a bit thin with roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, and very dry. Body is quite creamy almost fluffy. Decent.

Tried at Granite City Brewery in Kansas City. Part of a flight. Found all of the beers to be watered down and mediocre at best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
