3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hotstuff (3340) - Indiana, USA - MAR 19, 2008
Draft at Fort Wayne, IN location. Very small tan head that full lasted, excellent lacing, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a dark brown hue. Nose was roasty, chocolate, coffee, and malt.Ditto for the flavor, but finished thin. Mouthfeel was smooth and thin. Light in body. Quaffable but too thin give the style.

Tap. Chocolate caramel malt aroma. Black with small head. Sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter grassy hops flavor. Good - on the hoppy side.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 uglyblond1 (177) - Nebraska, USA - NOV 13, 2006
A roasty dry lighter bodied stout. Not really bitter but a dominant roast character. Very light on the hops. Quite smooth finish. No real offensive notes.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kidmartinek (2446) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 31, 2009
A black beer with a creamy tan head that lasts as long as you want it to. Coffee, toffee, and thin roasy malt nose. Flavor is bitter and dry and dominated by light cofee and chocolate taste. Texture is smooth and creamy. There is not much of an aftertaste for a beer of this stature, but what is there reminds me of toasty, chocolate malt.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 fidelis83 (1589) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - AUG 2, 2009
Pours black with a tall, nitro-creamy tan head that has excellent retention. Aroma is roast, toasted nuts, a little coffee and some char. Flavor is about the same with a little more nutty and coffee character. Palate is a little watery and the carbonation has a little better bite than most nitro beers. Overall it’s not bad, pretty much a Guinness clone with a little less charm.

Draft at the Kansas City location. Pours thin and black with a white head. Flavor isn’t bad, with malts and cocoa. Overall, not as offensive as some of their other beers. A solid light and thin stout that could be sessioned.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BVery (4249) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 29, 2011
Tap. Nice dark brown/black pour with a nice foamy cream head. Really nice chocolate and coffee aroma. Palate is impossibly thin - kills this beer. Taste is watery with similar elements as aroma.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 weitz15 (379) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 23, 2009
A bit more mild than your average stout. Not as hoppy as I would expect, either. But this one is very smooth, and what it lacks in flavor, it makes up for in refreshment.

Very feint chocolate scents and a small roast. Taste is a tad of chocolate and a bitter coffee roast, light body.
