On tap at the Schaumburg location. Black appearance with a lingering, light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, bitter chocolate, earth, burnt sugar and light molasses. Similar flavor, tastes a little dirty and off, finishes dry. Nope.

A bit on the thin side with a roasty nose with light chocolate notes. A bit of tartness and smokiness in the finish is welcome. Pours deep brown with a good sticky creamy head.

On tap:The aroma consists of mild cocoa, roast, coffee, and a hint of burnt notes. Itís a dark brown with no transparency and two finger khaki head that has great retention before eventually fading to a thick film. There is some spotty webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of cocoa/chocolate. Thereís some light roasted malt in the middle. The finish has some light burnt coffee. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Cloud location. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has dark grains and roasted malts with a musty dryness. Flavor has dry dark grains and some musty roasted malts.

On tap. Served a blackish color with a nice tan head that lasted with ample lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is same as aroma. Decent bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Moderate body, a bit of a gritty feel and not very robust.
