3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Cedar Rapids. Pours clear golden yellow with small white head. The aroma is grainy with a little bit of botanicals and astringency. The flavor is doughy with very light herbal hops. Bland but inoffensive.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale Lager Month installment number six comes to us from the first bottle run for this midwestern restaurant & fermentation chain. So this particular stuff was brewed/bottled at Minhas. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a nice medium sized white head. The aroma has a lot going on, itís a little vegetal with a strong presence of toasty malt and a touch of slightly burnt marshmallows. The toasty malt is the main thing in the aroma and thatís nice enough. The flavor is fruity & moderately sweet with a fair bit of toasty malt character, plenty of metallic flavor, and a lingering astringent bitterness. I donít really like the beer, but after trying that bock Iím very happy to report that this is markedly better than that beer, at least as far as the bottles are concerned.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly different aroma to a pale lager than most, it almost has a faint hint of vanilla or butterscotch. The taste is like the description says, this has a light golden ale flavor to with slight sweetness, although it does have a pale lager straightforward quality to it. Light in flavor but good enough to make it decent.
