Cloudy straw color with a white thin bubbled head. Mild banana and cloves in the aroma. Some wheat and malt also detected. Fairly light, but slightly sticky. Banana and a touch of tropical fruit also found in the flavors. Bits of cloves in the finish. Passable.

It poured a very cloudy yellow color with a small head. The aroma was of banana and spice. The taste was of the same. The flavor was of a typical hefeweizen, with some hints of banana and wheat, clove and maybe a few other spices.

I hate this place, but when one came to town, I had to try all the beers. They’re all average to bad.

10th rating. I had this one while spending the night in Fargo. Had a nice 7 sample tasting of Granite City brews. This was a nice hefe. Very little bannana, and some clove. Quite nice actually.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 GJF (1006) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - JUL 8, 2009
It’s okay. Slight citrus and yeast. Like most granite city, there’s just nothing to it. I’ll say again, it’s okay.

draft at Fort Wayne brewpub - Pours hazy yellow with a one finger white head. It has a light citrus accented yeast aroma. The flavor is sweet and a little fruity. It’s light bodied and goes down very easiliy. This one is alright for a summer quaff. Like the other GC beers I’ve had, there’s just nothing remarkable about it.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 GaltScat (195) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 21, 2007
Off the tap. Very cloudy with a white head. Aroma and flavor were nearly absent. What was there was of wheat, oranges, banana, and hops. The flavor was mostly carbonated water with a hint of orange or lemon. The alcohol content was reportedly 5% but I doubt it was more than 3.5%. Generally, this is a dud of a Hefeweizen.
