Golden color, medium head, A fairly decent standard pale lager, some metallic bits and some sweet. Not a "whole evening one"

(Can 50 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with a small, white head. Odd, sulphurous aroma. Light and watery body. Weak notes of caramel and brewing cereal. No real bitterness. 211006

Canned. Clear golden coloured with a medium sized fizzy head. Sweetish with notes of cardboard. Doesnt "fit" somehow.

Can. Golden colour with a big white head. Weak caramel malty aroma and a light caramel malty, carboard taste. Medium body with a sweet finish.

Ungstrup (23975) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 24, 2006
An orange beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet matly with light notes of both caramel and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, and a thin body. Too simple.

Gr0ve (1878) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 18, 2006
500 ml can. Clear golden. First of all this is not a vienna, but an average premium lager, most likely a "recanning" of one of their other lagers (can’t tell which at the moment). Average head which subsides quickly and disappears almost entirely. Decent crisp honeyish malty aroma. Carbonation is medium, and quite appropriate. Well balanced hop bittering. Not thin at all as there are malts there that make the beer palateable. Decent. Notice the pun printed on the can.

larsga (4664) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 11, 2006
Small, white, fine-bubbled head which quickly subsides. Light chestnut brown body. Faint caramel aroma with cardboard and hop notes. Taste is mostly cardboard, with some caramel malts, and a buttery aftertaste. Mouthfeel is watery. Dry, empty aftertaste, with the unpleasant butter notes lingering. This is like the ghost of a Christmas beer. Quite unpleasant. Would not recommend this to anyone for anything.

Quite ordinary norwegian middle of the road pils. The Christmas tree on the can gives a hint of something else, this is not the case in this beer. Short finish.

Golden colour. Tasting close to a norwegian pils, not a Christmas beer. Compared to a pils, not bad, neither good.

Tasteless. When all the micros make pastiches of the great beers of the world, Grans tries to remake the King of Beers. Nice can, though!
