Dark copper body with an off white fluffy head. Looks quite nice. Aroma of metallic hops, caramel, bread and a touch of raisins. This Grans is better than the other products from this brewery, but it still has the same metallic aroma which I really don’t care for.

Mørk brun med lys beige skum. Aroma av karamell og moden stenfrukt. Medium karbonert. Smaker desverre litt lite, men helt ok juleøl.

Fin duft av rosiner og krydder. Mørk fin kastanjebrun farge. Lite skum, litt langs kant.

(Havnabakken, 22.12.13)

DAA; Pours dark brown with tan head. Roasted malty, dark fruits, nutty aroma. Taste mirrors adding caramell and some fruityness. Light, watery mouth. Light bitter, sweet chocolate finish.

33 cl green dark bottle 4.7 abv, version 2013, from Rema 1000 supermarket. Pours a somewhat persistent bright caramel coloured head, which sets lacings inside the mug, and a layer on the red brown body. Scents of raisins, christmas mulled wine, prunes, cinnamon, walnut. Tastes roasted malts, chocolate with raisins, sweet crackers, cinnamon, walnut. Some mealy mouthfeel, but quite fully, just a little slightly watery. Moderate aftertaste, but quite some dark chocolate, nuts and old raisins are present. Quite good, also my wife considered.

Pours dark copper with a tanned, frothy, lasting head. Nose of sweet malts. Weak aroma of some fruit, raisin, caramel malts. Not bad, but too weak and thin.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear deep red colour with a pretty big and frothy light beige head. Distinct and sweet aroma of leather, dried fruits, and sweet berries towards raspberries. And there’s also some walnuts. A bit weak and strange flavour of caramel, leather and some hay and sweet malt in the end. Has a light and slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. Better than expected, and the aroma was pretty nice, but maybe a bit too sweet. An okay low alcohol Christmas brew.
