Bottled @ Cardinal. Pours deep amber with a big beige head. Weak malty aroma, slightly acidic as well. Taste is weak malts, watery mouthfeel, not a good beer.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2012 Flaske fra Vinmonopolet i Halden. Gyldenmørk farge med en beige topp. Lett søtlig maltaroma med litt karamell. Smak av ristet malt med innslag av rosin/karamell.

Pours reddish brown with a light tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and light grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Deep amber with light brown head - malty aroma - malty taste with hints of caramel with some hop bitterness in the background - quite good and best beer from grans

Bottle. Dark copper-colored body with a very quickly disappearing beige head. Aroma is sourish roasty malts with hints of caramel and raisins. Taste is dark malts, caramel, roasty flavors and hints of figs. A decent Xmas beer within its (Norwegian) genre, no more nor less.

A traditional, norvegian christmasbeer. It got a nice caramell and malt aroma and flavours. It´s heavy carbonated, to much for my taste.

Bottled. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Green bottle.Pours brown with a tan head.Aroma of caramel malt and hay.Flavour is sweet caramel and hay , very heavy on the malt.Metalic aftertaste.Some sourish notes.Medium body , low carbonation.

Pours clear dark orange with tan frothy head. My bottle actually had some fallout. Aroma of caramel and dried fruits. Hint of cask wood. Mediumy sweet and light bitter with a hint of acidity at the end. Light to medium bodied. Lively carbonation. Dry syrupy texture. OK, but not great.

33 cl bottle. Big brown head and nice deep brown red color. That is everything that is nice with this beer. Something most be very vrong with the 2008 brew.. I have tested this beer 3 times now from different places and over a period of 6 months and it is still horrible.
