1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 ClubGonzo (1979) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 15, 2010
Oh dear. Every time I figure I’ve gone through the whole lot of the "summer seasonals" from Norway, I stumble upon yet another variant. Grans Sommerøl pours a very ordinary pale lager body, with a somewhat slightly longer lasting top than most of its contemporaries. Smell is vague pilsener malts. Taste is light malts with some hops, pretty ok balanced. Some metallic hints in the aftertaste, but otherwise quite a regular "summer beer". It is, however, to be noted that all of these seasonals from the Norwegian store market are kinda crap to begin with.
