I thought its ratings would be higher than this, but at the same time I am not surprised. I doesn’t really do anything wrong, but it plays it real safe. A very good starter IPA to ween people off of lesser brews. It is a good IPA, and I would buy it again, but I won’t go nuts.

20 oz pint, local pub, Calgary. I really like this IPA. It’s not the biggest, hoppiest, most alcoholic IPA on the block by a long shot but it’s very drinkable. Aroma is definitely hops- lots of hops- but with a more floral note than most West Coast IPAs. Pale, clear beer with a minimal white head. Appearance not unlike a pint of Marston’s Pedigree. It tastes of hops, but not as bitter as a double IPA. There’s bitterness there but not an overwhelming amount. Light bodied, average texture, lively carbonation and a decent hoppy finish. Overall this is a beer I’m likely to order frequently and would happily drink all evening- unlike most 10% Imperial Double IPAs. It would be a good starter IPA for someone looking to explore the style, or else one to look out for in a local pub as it’s more interesting than standard choices in my area.

Good beer as a standby. Not over hopped or over powering, easy to drink and enjoy with food and friends. Refreshing ipa -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

341 mL Bottle. Gold-copper body with a wispy head leaving some stringy lace. Intense citrus-grapefruit hoppy aroma stands out over the sweet malts. Sweet malts are there in the flavor, lots of grapefruit rind hoppiness in the aftertaste and finish. The body is a bit light for a beer of that category.
