3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (4453) - Toronto, - AUG 18, 2009
Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o GregClow. Pours a slightly hazy copper-gold with an average size mostly-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma: Pretty decent, it’s sweet and hoppy, a bit resiny and citrusy. Lightly hoppy flavour, fruity and with a dry bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good, reasonably well done.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HeistAlmighty (543) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - APR 22, 2012
341ml bottle. Pours clear pale amber, obviously filtered, but has a good sized head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is not strong, but a reasonably pleasant mild hop. Taste is a moderate piney, floral hop with kind of generic malt backing. Body is sorta light, but not thin. Fresh and refreshing. Overall, this is kind of what I imagine a macro IPA would be if it actually still was an IPA. Not special, but not bad or offensive.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Gethinbeer (1565) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 10, 2012
Clear copper orange with a thin white head and lace. Faint aroma. Weak flavour. Malt finish with a tangy syrup texture. Not great.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Gerbeer (140) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
Draft at Bridges. Amber with light head. Hoppy to taste and smell but not outrageous. Slightly doughy with a citrus finish. Nothing much else. Basic beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 reebtogi (2191) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 1, 2011
341mL bottle poured a golden orange color with small white head and some lacing. Aroma is predominately hops. Taste is light sweet malt and moderate hoppy finish which lingers awhile. Body is medium and carbonation is lively. Overall, this is a decent IPA, but not as nice as some of the American IPA’s I have tried.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 fiulijn (10421) - Como, ITALY - AUG 2, 2011
Draught at Whet, Granville Island, Vancouver Golden color. Aroma of caramel, a bit mushy. Dry and lean mouthfeel, some caramel flavor, correct bitterness (without discernable hop qualities). Not an American IPA, but probably also not an English one, just a Bitter or Amber Ale.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 21, 2011
Draught@Granville Island taproom
Deep golden color, small white head, lace. Light woody hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, honeyish-hoppy (fruits, grass) flavor. Short finish. Certainly too little IBUs for being a good NW IPA.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bulldogops (311) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 7, 2011
Bottle from Granville taster pack. 6%. Clear dark amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with hoppy overtones, toasted malt Taste is more of the same, dry hops and roast malts dominating the flavour, with a hint of sweetness. Finish is dry, but balanced and satisfying. Delicious.

Deep amber beer. Aroma is fairly hoppy. The flavour is quite crisp with a firm malt character. Light grapefruit flavour with a lingering hoppy bitterness. A nice mild IPA.
