2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
341 mL Bottle. Copper body with a thin short-lived off-white head bleaving some spotty lace. Aroma of sweet malts with a hint of apple, astringent hops, and a soupçon of treacle. Flavor of sweet malts, piquante hops, a syrupy malty aftertaste that tapers off to a not too imposing hoppy finish. Alright but no plans to revisit this.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can to IPA glass
Grains, straw, light lemon, yeast, and red bell pepper.
Clear copper with a thin creamy white head and lots of effervescence. Taste is grains, some apple, yeast, and a little skunk...no make that a little skunk that builds late onto your tongue. A solid, but not exciting brew.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Tastes like shit. I'm sorry I've come from the states and drank exceptional craft sick of this average Canadian shit.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20

Back in the day I used to think this brewery was the Shiz-nit. Now it seems embarrassing. On tap pour at Stone Cottage in the bowels of Scarborough is sour, sweet & ill advised. No punch. No twang. Too safe. This is about as West Coast as Ottawa.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear copper with a thin white head that offers good retention and leave nice lacing. Aroma has some weak malt and some earthy hops. Taste is NOT "brimming with West Coast character", one hardly feels any bitterness and there are close to no hoppy flavors. It does have a decent amount of caramel, though. Toasted grains. Herbal finish. Carbonation is a bit agressive, mouthfeel a little oily. Meh.
