sitronbus (11), British Columbia, Canada Jun 30, 2006 A very refreshing beer! Pronounced ginger aroma & flavour. Light bodied, a light touch with the hops. Looks like Canada Dry. Not as bubbly. Excellent summer beer!
TimE (1031), Tokyo, Japan Sep 27, 2007 Fest-Of-Ale. Pale golden color. Ginger and ginseng nose. I think I need some Chinese stirfry. Massive gingery mouth that comes across artifically. Dry gingery finish mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 5, 2007 [574-20070901] 650mL (Spring Release, c/o ducttape, w/ him, jerc). Smells like very freshly sliced ginger mixed with a little apricot fruit and some straw. Clear, orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head, some ginger flakes in the bottom and a bit of lacing on the sides. Sweet ginger flavour without the hotness (reminiscent of Jamaican-style soda without the sting). Medium body. Ginger is blended in quite nicely with an interesting texture, not overpowering if you’re a fan. jerc (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. Shared by DuctTape. Crisp golden yellow body with a mountainous white head, bits of ginger at the bottom of the glass. Massively gingery aroma, light hints of citrus. Fairly gingery flavour but it does not reach its peak until the aftertaste where it leaves a light gingery burn in the throat, light bitterness. Light orange notes to the flavour. Average plus palate. Ginger is a bit over bearing, nice but not overly repeatable unless you really like ginger. mgermani (616), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 12, 2007 Pours a clear orange with a thick, white head and nice lace. Aroma of ginger and slight hops. Tastes very light, sweet malt base with light hops and smooth ginger - definitely not a late addition. Light almost creamy body. This is better than the St. Paul’s ginger beer that I had, but it’s too sweet. Can’t we find a nice american hop (simcoe?) to go with the ginger to keep this thing better balanced? I had one glass and poured the rest of the bottle.
